How to Reserve a Sports Field

The City of Santa Monica’s playing fields are open to permit use for youth and adult sports.  Please download the application below to see the fields available and the permittable times for youth and adult.  The City follows a field allocation guideline and permits fields based on these guidelines. The permitting schedule is subject to change and is based on data showing the highest use times.   

After application is received, it will take up to 7-10 business days to review your application and you'll be notified if your application has been approved or denied.

Summer 2024 application period:

  • Summer applications will be accepted beginning April 24, 2024, any summer application received prior to April 24, 2024 will not be considered.
  • Summer date range:  June 10-August 18, 2024.
  • We will not accept applications that have dates in Spring and Summer combined.  Separate applications will need to be filled out for each season.


SPRING PERIOD/DATES- we are still accepting applications through June 9th.

E-mail Sports@santamonica.gov to request facility applications for the following facilities:

  • Santa Monica High School and/or Lincoln Middle School Track
  • Memorial Park Gymnasium
  • Outdoor Basketball Courts
