Annual Paving and Sidewalk Repair Project

The City of Santa Monica has hired Sully-Miller Contracting Co. to repair various sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and driveway aprons at the locations indicated on the table below. 

The Contractor is set to start removal and replacement activities on March 29, 2024, and expected to complete entirely in July 2024.

Any concrete that is removed will be restored by the end of the same week. Full driveway access will be maintained. During construction, sidewalk access will be limited and temporary warning signs will be posted directing pedestrians to a safe route. Construction vehicles will also occupy parking spaces as needed. Temporary No Parking signs will be displayed beforehand. It is important for public safety that everyone complies with all construction, traffic and parking signs placed near construction areas. All other parking restrictions will be strictly enforced including street sweeping. Trash service in the area and bus routes will not be impacted by the construction activities. Dates are subject to change due to weather. Should the schedule change, temporary “NO PARKING” signs with revised dates will be posted. Work hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

FY2023-24 Paving  Schedule: Paving of Neilson Way, from Pacific Street to southern city limit at Marine Ct. is scheduled in June 2024 for a 2-week duration. Paving of Michigan Avenue, from Cloverfield Boulevard to the Bergamot Station Arts Center is scheduled in July 2024 for a 1-week duration.


FY2022-23 Annual Paving Project - Striping modifications and crosswalks and meter improvements

  1. Ocean Ave, Wilshire Blvd, and Broadway signing and striping modification is complete. The work is final punchlist and will be performed during the month of March.
