North Beach Trail New Year Construction Update

The North Beach Trail Project team is excited to share that more than half of the 250,000+ square feet of new concrete on the North Beach Trail has been installed and the project hopes to remain ahead of schedule.

Most of the new trail is already open to the public to enjoy a safer walking, biking and skating experience on the wider, smoother trail. The team will continue to build the path until it’s completely connected and anticipates completion by fall 2020!

In February, keep an eye out for the new pavement markings and curb installation separating the bike path from the pedestrian path.

Construction Reminder

As construction progresses, sections of the path will be closed intermittently. A temporary route will take bicyclists and pedestrians around the construction areas and then returned to the bike path.  Bikes must be dismounted and walked while on the temporary path in the interests of safety. Signs are posted throughout to assist the public in safely maneuvering around the project areas. Please pay attention and adhere to the signs.

Thanks so much for your support and patience!
