On October 1, thousands flooded a two-mile stretch from Main Street to Ocean Avenue looking for an opportunity to explore streets without a car. The open streets festival gave attendees the opportunity to engage with the many mobility options the City has to offer. From Metro to Big Blue Bus to the beach bike path, people of all ages found their way to COAST and spent a day of fun in the sun! Children learned how to break dance and adults belted out their favorite songs. The City set up a photobooth where friends dressed each other up, and band ensembles roamed the streets serenading anyone within an earshot. There was salsa dancing that many did not want to end, and plenty of colorful characters that caught the eyes and cameras along the way.

Check out some of favorite moments from COAST below and save the date for the next COAST on October 7, 2018.
