Here’s a recap of some of the transportation and mobility upgrades happening around the City.

17TH STREET
The transformation of 17th Street is well underway in the Pico Neighborhood. The section between Pico Boulevard and the Freeway is 90% complete with paving, lighting, and electrical work remaining. The section between Olympic and Wilshire Boulevards will be the next focus area, with completion expected in May 2023.

PICO BOULEVARD
Pedestrian enhancements on Pico Boulevard near Santa Monica College continue to advance. New ADA curb ramps are complete at each of the five project intersections. Additional streetlighting, bikeway, and pavement improvements will be ongoing until the project is completed in May 2023.

4TH STREET
Streetscape improvements on 4th Street began in October and are expected to conclude in June 2023. The improvements include ADA curb ramps, striped crosswalks, improved fencing on the freeway bridge, streetlights, and new landscaping in the median and parkways.
