Fires Recovery Grant Opportunity
This initiative is meant to
provide direct relief to small businesses directly impacted by the January 2025
Palisades and Eaton wildfires and capacity building support to nonprofits
working to support the ecosystem during this time.

Who's Eligible? Small businesses in the
Palisades/Altadena area that were negatively impacted by the 2025 Palisades and
Eaton wildfires; nonprofit organizations that have provided and are continuing
to provide support to impacted businesses
Available Grants:
§ Eighty $5,000 direct grants for small
businesses
§ Four $25,000 sub-grants for community-based
organizations
Application Deadline: September 26th, 2025, at 5:00 PM PT
Types of SBA disaster loans: Home & Renters Disaster Loans: Homeowners and
renters are eligible to apply for home and personal property loans and may
borrow up to $100,000 to replace or repair personal property, such as clothing,
furniture, cars, and appliances. Homeowners may apply for up to $500,000 to replace
or repair their primary residence.
- Business Physical Disaster Loans: Loans of up to $2
million to businesses to repair or replace disaster-damaged property
owned by the business, including real estate, inventories,
supplies, machinery and equipment. Businesses of any size are
eligible. Private, non-profit organizations such as charities, churches,
private universities, etc., are also eligible.
- Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL): Working capital loans to help eligible small
businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, nurseries and private
nonprofit (PNP)organizations impacted by financial losses
directly related to this disaster. The SBA is unable to provide
disaster loans to agricultural producers, farmers, or ranchers, except for
aquaculture enterprises. This loan is for working capital and is available
even if the small business or Private Non-Profit (PNP) did not suffer any
physical damage they may use these funds to pay fixed debts, payroll,
accounts payable, and other bills not paid due to the disaster.
- GEM
Small Business Grants – The initial criteria is the following:
ü
Must have an
address in the burn zone of home or business.
ü
If the
address is home address must have lost physical business-related items.
ü
Must have an
online presence (website, social media, etc.)
ü
Must fill
out the intake form.
ü
Grant is up
to $10,000.
Applicants may also contact the SBA's

disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or
have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications to relay
services.
