Attention:
On March 24, 2026, City Council approved new parking rates for the core downtown parking structures to be implemented on April 13, 2026.
These rates along with rates approved on October 28, 2025 create a new downtown rate structure with notable items below:
- Weekend daily maximum rates have been reduced.
- Pricing has been simplified from the current 9 price increments resulting in many of the parking prices being reduced.
- The first 90 minutes will now be $1 in structures 1-9, and Ken Edwards Center
- Employee validations will remain the same
- $6 for 6 hours
- $9 for 12 hours
- A new validation program for gym and fitness studios will be available for members

The free EV Parking benefit which allowed properly displayed Clean Air Vehicle decals & ZEV decals to park at any on-street (curbside), metered parking space in Santa Monica without charge for the maximum amount of time allowed by that meter will expire on September 30, 2025, in accordance with the expiration of the state CAV decal program. Beginning October 1, 2025, all vehicles must pay for parking.
