PARKING RATE CHANGES UPDATE AS OF Feb. 5, 2026: 

On October 28, 2025, City Council approved a new parking rate resolution and a new credit card convenience fee resolution that was implemented on January 12, 2026, with the exception of the new rates for Parking Structures 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 and the Ken Edwards Center. In response to community and business feedback, a revised parking rate restructuring for these downtown parking structures will be brought to the City Council for consideration at a meeting in March, 2026. In the meantime, currently posted rates at these structures will apply. 

ATTENTION:

The free EV Parking benefit which allowed properly displayed Clean Air Vehicle decals & ZEV decals to park at any on-street (curbside), metered parking space in Santa Monica without charge for the maximum amount of time allowed by that meter will expire on September 30, 2025, in accordance with the expiration of the state CAV decal program. Beginning October 1, 2025, all vehicles must pay for parking.
