4th Street Enhancements Project Phase II

Scope 

For this project, crews will be working on 4th St between Colorado Ave and Olympic Blvd to install new curb ramps, curb & gutters, crosswalks, paving, new fencing on the freeway bridge, streetlights along 4th St, traffic signal infrastructure, and new landscaping in the median and parkway areas. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. Please use alternate routes whenever possible. Please note temporary sidewalk closures and detours where posted. Lane Closure Information - Night Work (10/23/2023 - 11/22/2023)

Work will begin on Monday, October 23rd, and last approximately 4 weeks. As part of the improvements, fence installation will be performed on 4th Street between Olympic Blvd. and Colorado Ave. in the northbound and southbound direction. There will be traffic, reduced lanes, sidewalk closures, and the operation of heavy equipment necessary to construct the project. This work is scheduled to be performed between the hours of 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Monday 10/23/2023 through Wednesday 11/22/2023. Please note that the start and completion time/date of construction may be delayed due to unforeseen conditions and weather.

Starting Thursday, November 2, 2023 the fence work on the 4th Street Bridge over the I-10 will proceed across the bridge concurrently in northbound and southbound directions in 3 phases (Phase 3, 4, & 5) for approximately 6 nights and will require curb lane closures on 4th Street and single lane closures on the I-10 Highway and closures of the I-10 On Ramp and Off Ramp. All work will take place at NIGHT between the hours of 8:00PM to 6:00AM, Monday through Friday. Please note that the start and completion time/date of construction may be delayed due to unforeseen conditions and weather.
