Donate to a local nonprofit: service agencies are incurring unexpected costs to keep staff and participants safe and continue to deliver essential services. A list of local agencies can be found at:

Meals on Wheels 

Meals on Wheels is seeking neighbor to neighbor donations of bags with basic necessities such as hand sanitizer and toilet paper.  They are also seeking volunteers to call clients and check on their health and wellness as they shift to deliveries twice a week.  Contact

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army 1533 4th st in Santa Monica, is providing food boxes to families in need on a weekly basis. Volunteers are needed to help create these boxes with canned proteins, vegetables, pasta/grains, soups, etc. Additionally, we are providing food bags for individuals experiencing homelessness on a daily basis. Some lifting required.

The Salvation Army is seeking food donation pickup volunteers for the Food not Bombs Thursday night meal service. Volunteers pick up food donations at three Santa Monica stores on Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 7:45am and 9:30am. If interested, please contact Alexandra Paul at 310-753-7545 or

Kaiser West LA

Venice Family Clinic

The Venice Family Clinic hosts free food markets every two weeks (2nd and 4th Tuesday, 10am - 12pm), through which they distribute 8,000 pounds of produce.
