Community Development
Community Development focuses on the built environment for businesses and residents through development review, plan check, building inspections, code enforcement, and administering the wind-down of the former Redevelopment Agency. We facilitate new investment consistent with the City's adopted land use policies. The Department ensures that development projects comply with applicable standards, project design reflects the City’s aesthetic character, and historic resources are protected.
