Housing and Human Services

The Housing and Human Services Department (HHS) coordinates Santa Monica's social services safety net and manages the City's affordable housing programs, including the Santa Monica Housing Authority, which administers housing voucher programs. Our department includes an array of housing, homelessness prevention and intervention services to support underserved populations, and provides upstream investments in children and youth via CREST (Childcare, Recreation, Enrichment, Sports Together), Virginia Avenue Park and Police Activities League programming and our ongoing collaboration and partnership with Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) and Santa Monica College (SMC).
