I'm running for Santa Monica City Council because I believe the best decisions are made by bringing people together, listening first, following the facts, and having the courage to change course when the evidence demands it.
I pay rent here. I raise my child here. I face the same housing pressures and everyday challenges as thousands of my neighbors. I have the same stake in Santa Monica's future as the people I'm asking to represent.
Long before I became a candidate, I was already doing the work, showing up at City Hall, on our beaches, at regulatory hearings, and in our neighborhoods. As a Scientist and serving Santa Monica as Commissioner for Sustainability, Environmental Justice, and the Environment, I've built my career and public service by asking tough questions, examining evidence, and solving complex problems. I've learned that the best solutions come from listening before deciding and working with people, not around them.
That's the standard I'll bring to every decision I make as your Councilmember.
I don't owe special interests. I owe this community.
I would be honored to earn your vote.

Me postulo al Concejo de la Ciudad de Santa Monica porque creo que las mejores decisiones se toman uniendo a la gente, escuchando primero, ateniéndose a los hechos y teniendo el valor de cambiar de rumbo cuando las pruebas lo exigen.
Yo pago el alquiler aquí. Crío a mi hijo aquí. Me enfrento a las mismas presiones en materia de vivienda y a los mismos desafíos cotidianos que miles de mis vecinos. Tengo el mismo interés en el futuro de Santa Monica que las personas a las que pido representar.
Mucho antes de convertirme en candidata, ya estaba trabajando, presentándome en el Ayuntamiento, en nuestras playas, en las audiencias reglamentarias y en nuestros vecindarios. Como Científica y al servicio de Santa Monica como Comisionada de Sostenibilidad, Justicia Ambiental y Medio Ambiente (Commissioner for Sustainability, Environmental Justice, and the Environment), he forjado mi carrera y mi trayectoria en el servicio público formulando preguntas difíciles, examinando pruebas y resolviendo problemas complejos. He aprendido que las mejores soluciones surgen de escuchar antes de decidir, y de trabajar con las personas, no a espaldas de ellas. Ese es el criterio que aplicaré a cada decisión que tome como su Miembro del Concejo.
No les debo a los intereses especiales. Les debo mucho a esta comunidad.
