East Pico Safety Project's Celebration Event

Construction is complete on the East Pico Safety Project! Join City staff for a grand opening celebration on Saturday, March 7, 2026 and experience the new quick-build safety improvements firsthand. Enjoy a fun, family-friendly scavenger hunt highlighting the newly installed elements along the street. These quick-build improvements are designed to pilot and test concepts that will help inform the future permanent upgrades on Pico Boulevard between 27th Street and Centinela Avenue. The first 30 attendees to complete the on-site community survey will receive free coffee and pastries.
