Summer Solstice Celebration

Join us at the Ishihara Park Learning Garden as we celebrate the impending Summer Solstice by focusing our energy on the sun !!  Or rather, er will focus the Sun's energy by building a SOLAR OVEN.  What is a Solar Oven you may ask?  Come and find out, we'll have materials and instructions on building your own.  Now if we can only get the Sun to cooperate.

Not sure that our solar oven will cook pancakes, but our solar powered generator sure can.  Come see what's cooking.  Our sweet corn will be knee high by the Fourth of July, tomatoes will be ripe on the vine and our cucumbers will be producing the first crop for pickling !!
