FAA Contact Information

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is established by law as the administrative and regulatory agency in charge of aviation and the National Transportation Air System. It has exclusive regulatory authority over airspace, aircraft,  pilot and aircraft certifications, and their operations.


Flight Standards District Office Service

FAA Aviation Noise Ombudsman

The FAA's Aviation Noise Ombudsman serves as a liaison with the public on issues regarding aircraft noise. If you have a specific question, comment, concern, or complaint that cannot be addressed by the Santa Monica Airport, contact the ombudsman through either of the following methods:

The FAA Hotline accepts reports concerning the safety of the National Airspace System, violations of a Federal Aviation Regulation (Title 14 CFR), aviation safety issues, and reports related to FAA employees or FAA facilities.
