Ground Water Production Well SM-14 Drilling Project
Project Overview
A new groundwater production well SM-14 will be
drilled and installed in the Olympic Blvd wellfield located in the median between Stuart and Centinela. Water pumped from the well
will be treated at the recently completed Olympic Advanced Water Treatment
Facility that is co-located at the City’s Arcadia Water Treatment Plant 2 of 5 before
being delivered to customers.
Construction Schedule
Dates: August 2026 through September 2026
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 24-hour continuous
Well equipping to commence soon after September 2026, schedule pending
What to Expect
- Intermittent lane closures or flaggers may be present to accommodate work activities
- Olympic Blvd is to remain open
- Heavy drilling equipment used during construction will cause intermittent loud noises.
- Efforts to minimize or eliminate loud noise will be implemented
