Santa Monica Public Library presents An Armchair Visit to Gardens of Britain

Santa Monica, California –  Santa Monica Public Library invites you on An Armchair Visit to Gardens of Britain,  a virtual journey hosted by seasoned traveler Sheila Stone on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.

Join professional tour guide, Sheila Stone, as she shares images of Royal Botanical gardens, cozy cottage gardens, surprising rooftop gardens, and intimate hidden gardens across Britain.  A writer, anthropologist and former stand-up comedian, Sheila lived in the north of England for two years, while attending graduate school.  She offers unique tours of the UK through her site Britain Your Way (britainyourwaytours.com).

This program is free and all ages are welcome.  Space is limited and on a first-arrival basis.  This is an event of The Living Room …a place for adults program series. For more information, visit smpl.org or contact the Santa Monica Public Library at (310) 458-8600.  The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair-accessible.
