Santa Monica Public Library presents Authors Edan Lepucki and Charles Yu in Conversation

March 18, 2016 12:00 AM

Santa Monica, California – Santa Monica Public Library continues the 2016 season of  Santa Monica READS with a special author talk between Edan Lepucki and Charles Yu on Tuesday, March 29, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s MLK, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard.

In the summer of 2014, two novels from breakout women writers – California by Edan Lepucki and Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel – were released within months of each other, and both drew critical and reader acclaim for their fresh, literary takes on the post-apocalyptic genre. As we encourage Santa Monica to continue reading Station Eleven together, we also take the opportunity to showcase homegrown talent Edan Lepucki, who joins us for this special discussion of her novel California with Santa Monica-based author Charles Yu. A book sale and signing follows.

This author talk is free and open to all.  Seating is first come, first served.

Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Ride your bike. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.  For more information on Santa Monica READS and other public programs, visit www.smpl.org or contact the Santa Monica Public Library at (310) 458-8600.
