Poet Catherine Coan’s to Host Final Event at the Annenberg Community Beach House on December 11

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs announces poet Catherine Coan as writer-in-residence at the Annenberg Community Beach House. Coan is a poet, professor, and hybrid taxidermist living in Los Angeles. Her poems have appeared in journals such as Poetry, Poetry Northwest, the Seattle Review, and Terrain. Since October, Coan has been working on her second collection of poems, titled Mistakes Have Been Made, holding weekly open office hours, penned periodic updates about her residency at beachhouseair.blogspot.com and hosted two public events with her final event on Tuesday, Dec. 11.

The public is invited to her office hours for questions about poetry and her process from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the following days:
