Santa Monica Public Library Participates in “Read Across America” with a Storypalooza on March 6

March 4, 2021 11:32 AM

As part of “Read Across America,” an initiative on reading that focuses on creating a world of diverse readers and motivating children to read, the Santa Monica Public Library presents Storypalooza on Saturday, March 6, 2021 with these special programs:

Get a craft kit at any of the library’s Curbside Pickup locations beginning March 1st, and watch a how-to video to make your craft. (While supplies last.) Access the video at youtube.com/user/SantaMonicaPL

Each year, National Read Across America Day, inaugurated by the National Education Association, is celebrated on March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The Santa Monica Public Library presents our event supporting early literacy on the first Saturday of March. This event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica.

Storypalooza is free and you do not need a Santa Monica Public Library card to participate in the programs.

The Library is here to assist you. Contactless curbside pickup service is available at Santa Monica Public Library. We encourage you to visit our Online Library and access the Library’s many digital services that are available 24/7. Questions? Call us at (310) 458-8600 or email reference@smgov.net. Staff are available Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm, and look forward to connecting with you.
