New Wednesday Evening Curbside Hours at Santa Monica Public Library

By popular request evening hours are now available at Santa Monica Public Library contactless curbside pickup. Curbside service hours at all pickup locations will be 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. every Wednesday beginning March 17, 2021.

Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Pico Branch Library, 2201 Pico Blvd.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Montana Avenue Branch, 1704 Montana Ave.
Monday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday Curbside Service
First Saturday of the month
Main Library & Pico Branch ONLY
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Place a hold at smpl.org or by calling (310) 458-8600 to pick up items at your preferred location: Main Library, Pico Branch, or Montana Avenue Branch. Wait to receive the email, text, or phone notification that your holds are ready, then drop in to pick up your items at your selected location. When picking up items, please bring your library card or photo ID, wear a mask, and practice social distancing. Upon arrival, follow the directions on the posted signs.
Please return materials by their due dates. Late fees on materials are being suspended through June 2021. The exterior book returns are open 24/7 to accept books and materials at all Santa Monica Public Library locations. Search for items, place holds, and check due dates through your online Library account.
All items undergo a minimum 5-day quarantine before they are reassigned. Depending on the date of return, and the location’s hours of operation, it may take 5-7 days for your Library account to reflect the return. No fines will be assessed during this period.
