Santa Monica Extends Local Emergency to June 15, 2021

The City of Santa Monica’s thirty-fifth emergency supplement extends the City’s local emergency orders, with certain specified exceptions, to June 15, 2021. The supplement comes as Santa Monica continues to make progress with reopening and COVID-19 vaccine eligibility has expanded to everyone 16 years and older.

“With more than 62% of Santa Monicans receiving their first COVID-19 vaccine dose and 85% of our population 65 years and older vaccinated, we continue to make significant strides toward recovery,” said Interim City Manager Lane Dilg. “Our local emergency expiration of June 15 aligns with the State of California’s timeline for lifting restrictions.”
