Endless Summer C.A.M.P. celebrates Santa Monica’s 150th anniversary in a free day of art, music and play for all ages

Monica’s 150th
Anniversary celebration continues with Endless
Summer C.A.M.P. (Community | Art | Music | Picnic), a joyful, free,
family-friendly afternoon in the heart of Tongva Park on Saturday, Aug. 23,
from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Back for a third year, Endless Summer C.A.M.P. is a playful and welcoming
outdoor event where community, art and music come together.
As part of Santa Monica’s 150th Anniversary, which showcases community-driven events taking place citywide from July to October, Endless Summer C.A.M.P. features a day filled with musical performances and art-making activities reflecting Santa Monica’s diverse and creative spirit.
Attendees are
encouraged to pack a picnic and bring blankets and beach chairs while also
enjoying Tongva Park's amenities, including a splash pad, playground, ocean
observation deck, public art and 100+ species of plants.
Attendees can
make a day in Santa Monica and explore local businesses and restaurants in
nearby Downtown and the Third
Street Promenade Entertainment Zone, Santa Monica Pier and Main
Street.

Bubble Party + Eco Art-Making
Enjoy a magical bubble party from Bubblemania, LA’s favorite interactive show
that sparks creativity and curiosity in kids of all ages. Plus, get hands-on
with a sustainable art-making workshop led by Rediscover Center, where you’ll
create something special using upcycled materials.

Opera Project presents “Cinderella Story”
A fresh and funny twist on the classic fairytale, this mashup opera is a
delightful introduction to opera for kids and families alike—playful, magical
and totally unique!
This performance is generously funded in part by the Greater Los Angeles
Education Foundation.

Masanga
Marimba
Feel the rhythm with an energetic, family-friendly performance that blends
African, Latin and American musical traditions. This vibrant 9-piece band
features Zimbabwean-style marimbas, mbiras, drums, trombone, trumpet and joyful
vocals—guaranteed to get everyone moving!
All are welcome. The event is free and open to the public.

transportation is encouraged. Big Blue Bus routes 2,

serve Tongva Park, with buses running every 20-35 minutes. Metro Rail’s E Line
operates every 10 minutes, with service between East Los Angeles and Downtown

Parking is available at the Santa Monica Civic Center Parking Structure as well as metered parking on Main Street, Olympic Blvd., and Ocean Ave.
