How to Obtain a Day Beach Parking Permit

If you are frequent beachgoer, you can purchase a monthly, semi-annual (January - June or July to December) or annual (January - December) Day Beach Parking permit for the current year. The permit allows you to park in most Santa Monica beach lots during hours of operation, excluding the Pier Deck, the Annenberg Beach House, and all short-term lots.

The requirements are a California ID or driver's license and a matching current California vehicle registration (no commercial vehicles, company-owned vehicles, or RVs allowed).  Day Beach parking permits are sold while supplies last. Maximum of one (1) Day Beach Parking permit allowed per eligible applicant.

Seniors 62 and older are eligible for a Senior Day Beach Parking permit at a discounted rate by clicking here.  If you have an ADA placard, you do not need to purchase a Day Beach Parking permit, as it grants you the same privileges.  Please note, we do not give refunds and permits are not transferable.

Our hours of operation are 8:30 to 11:30 am and 1:00 to 4:30 pm, Monday thru Thursday and every other Friday.
