Andy Agle

Director of Community Services

Andy began his tenure with the City of Santa Monica in 1998, serving in several roles in the Planning and Community Development Department before becoming the Director of Housing and Economic Development in 2007. He assumed his current role of Director of Community Services in July 2020. Andy is thrilled to be part of the Community Services team as we pursue our mission to enrich lives, advance equity, and empower people to thrive by providing a dynamic array of social, cultural, recreational, educational, and housing programs and services developed with and for the community. 

Prior to his tenure with the City of Santa Monica, Andy worked for several years in community development for the City of Anaheim. Andy received his master’s degree in public policy from Princeton University and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Pomona College. Andy lives in Santa Monica. Away from work, he enjoys cross training, long walks, and travel.
