19th St. Community Farm

ABOUT THE SITE

This site was purchased by the City in 2019 using a combination of of General Funds and Community Development Block Grant Funds to be used as an agricultural space. The site is roughly 8000 square feet and has been vacant for over 20 years.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Throughout the month of July 2023, the City of Santa Monica held multiple design workshops where members of the Pico Neighborhood shared their vision of transforming the vacant lot into a hub for fresh produce and community gathering. We are still actively listening to ideas and concerns the community may have and invite everyone to continue sharing their thoughts. The current name of the site is the 19th Community Farm and Wellness Center but this name is temporary so if you have any suggestions for names, please let us know!

To share your thoughts and ideas about the space and/or become involved in the project, please fill out the form in ENGLISH or ESPANOL.

NEXT STEPS

We are currently using your feedback to create an initial design for the space which will be presented to the community for additional feedback and approval.
