Santa Monica's businesses and property owners have organized to establish special assessment districts to raise funds for marketing, supplemental cleaning services, streetscape improvements, parking, and promotions - all factors that help to create more vibrant and viable business districts.

The GoSaMo Transportation Management Organization (TMO) is dedicated to reducing traffic, improving air quality and promoting sustainable travel in Santa Monica. Los Angeles County Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
The Los Angeles SBDC offers small business owners training in management, marketing, and financial skills needed to compete in today's challenging business environment. Services include free one-on-one consulting and low-cost training/workshops. The SBDC is part of the national Small Business Administration and is hosted by Long Beach City College with several local chapters in the region, including the very helpful South Bay SBDC @ El Camino College: https://southbaysbdc.org/
