Share Perspectives on Boards and Commissions with the Community Working Group March 15

March 11, 2021 10:13 AM

Join members of the Boards and Commissions Community Working Group, City of Santa Monica staff, and Santa Monica community members on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 6 p.m. as the Community Working Group reviews the draft report of proposed recommendations and suggestions on the structure, effectiveness and best practices for City Boards, Commissions, and Task Forces.

The purpose of the Community Working Group is to provide a comprehensive review of all Boards, Commissions, and Task Forces in consultation with the City Clerk, City Manager and City Attorney, and come back to the City Council with recommendations and suggestions for best practices, including consolidation of boards and commissions with duplicate or similar purviews.

“This is a great opportunity for members of the public to provide comments on the Draft Recommendations for Boards and Commissions, before we take this to the full Council in April,” said City Clerk Denise Anderson-Warren.

The meeting will be held via teleconference. Santa Monica community members are encouraged to participate and provide their input on the proposed recommendations.

Agenda and draft report of proposed recommendations are available at www.smgov.net/boards.
