Youth Diversion Program

Investing in our future, the Santa Monica Police Department's LEAD (Leadership, Engagement, Achievement, Discovery) program empowers young people with the skills and guidance they need to thrive. Through leadership development and practical tools, LEAD focuses on prevention strategies to help youth achieve success.

LEAD Works! The program has a proven track record of reducing recidivism by fostering positive relationships between youth and law enforcement.

What We Offer:

  • Positive Interactions: LEAD creates opportunities for young people to connect with police officers in a friendly, non-confrontational environment.
  • Building Bridges: We take a collaborative approach, working with community partners to address the needs of our youth.
  • Empowering Potential: LEAD equips young people with the skills and resources they need to achieve their goals and become future leaders.

Help us build a brighter future! Learn more about LEAD and get involved.
