Donate to Virginia Avenue Park Holiday Food Pantry to Support Santa Monica Families in Need

November 18, 2020 9:38 AM

The holiday season is a time of giving, especially amidst the ongoing health pandemic. The City of Santa Monica needs help to raise $30,000 to support Santa Monica families experiencing food insecurity through the end of the year. The Food Pantry at Virginia Avenue Park has sustained 300 local families throughout the pandemic and now the City is asking the community to help reach even more Santa Monicans during the holiday season when pennies are being stretched even further.

Every $30 donation feeds a family of four for one week, and a $100 donation supports a family for the entire month of December through our Holiday Food Pantry at Virginia Avenue Park.

“The holidays are a time to show our care and support for families that are finding it harder to make ends meet during the pandemic,” said Interim City Manager Lane Dilg. “We are grateful to anyone who leans into the We Are Santa Monica spirit of giving through this Food Pantry donation drive.”
