Welcome to Santa Monica's Community Recreation Classes and Camps
Fall recreation classes are underway. Registration for winter classes and camps opens 6 a.m. November 3 for Santa Monica residents and November 10 for non-residents. Winter break youth camps will be offered Monday through Thursday the weeks of December 20 and December 27, 2021. Winter recreation classes at the parks will begin the week of January 10, 2022. The City of Santa Monica continues to place the highest value on the health and safety of our community. Programs may be subject to additional changes in compliance with LA County Department of Public Health guidelines.
Most classes and camps require an account via ActiveNet, the City's online registration system. To initially create and account, visit smgov.net/reserve and follow these easy steps:
To Create An Account:
1) Click on "Create an Account" and follow the prompts to enter your information.
2) Your user name will default to your email address, and once your information is entered, you will be prompted to create a password.
3) Remember to keep your user name and password secure and readily available for easy registration in the future.

As LA County Public Health approves the reopening of facilities and expansion of onsite services, the City of Santa Monica will be phasing the reopening of city facilities and onsite services to the public. Hours of operation and the scale of in-person services may vary to ensure the health and safety of City teams and the public we serve. Please note that some programs and services have been modified or eliminated as a result of recent restructuring. For a full list of impacted services, please visit santamonica.gov/coronavirus-reopenings. Our 3-1-1 lines are open and our customer service agents are available to answer any questions related to reopening. Thank you for your patience and continued support.
Refunds/Transfers: A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refund/transfer requests must be made in writing to the respective program office either in person or by fax, mail, or email. Class refunds and transfers will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Camp refunds will be issued only with medical documentation or if requested within five calendar days prior to the first meeting. Refunds will be prorated.
Cancellations: A full refund will be granted if the activity is cancelled. All dates, times, locations, and instructors are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to combine classes as needed or cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment. Due to the organizational needs of group classes, we are not able to offer makeups for days missed by the student.
Material Fees: For classes and camps with material fees, they are payable to the instructor in cash on the first day of class. Material fees are not discountable or refundable.
