Santa Monica 4th of July Parade

Saturday, Jul 4, 2026
9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

The annual Santa Monica Fourth of July Parade is reversing course this year, to coincide with a new city after-party to continue the Independence Day celebration in Tongva Park.

The annual parade, put on by the Ocean Park Association, will begin at Marine Street at 9:30 a.m. and travel north on Main Street, concluding at Pico Boulevard. This year’s theme is multi-pronged, celebrating the vibrant artistic spirit of the community as well as the 100th Anniversary of Route 66 and America's 250th birthday.

After the parade, participants, spectators, and the community are encouraged to continue the celebration at Pulse in the Park, the city's first-ever official after-party in Tongva Park from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to all.

Please note that the entire parade route and some streets leading to it will be closed to vehicle traffic ALL morning long, from 6 a.m. - Noon. We recommend walking, biking or scooting to watch the parade!
