Disabilities Commission

The Disabilities Commission helps improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in Santa Monica by prioritizing issues of concern and advising the City Council and City Staff on those issues. The Commission recommends ways to maximize participation of people with disabilities in all facets of City life and increase awareness of the abilities, rights and issues of people with disabilities throughout the community.  Join us for our monthly meeting.  

Special Community Forum
The October 14, 2026 Disabilities Commission meeting will be a special Community Forum focused on hearing directly from members of the disabled community, their families and friends. This event will provide an opportunity for community members to share feedback, ideas and priorities directly with Commissioners and city staff. Community input will help inform the Commission’s priorities and work for the coming year. The forum is designed as a two-way conversation and welcomes community members to participate, connect and help shape the Commission’s future priorities.
